    Operations / Financial Officer
    Position Summary

    We are seeking an experienced Operations/Financial Officer to oversee the daily operations and financial management of a law firm in Kingsport, Tennessee. This role supports attorneys and staff, manages administrative and financial functions, and ensures the firm operates efficiently and professionally.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage day-to-day office operations and administrative staff.
    • Oversee firm finances, including budgeting, accounts payable/receivable, billing, and collections.
    • Manage trust (IOLTA) accounts in compliance with legal and ethical requirements.
    • Coordinate payroll, benefits, and vendor relationships.
    • Oversee legal billing, timekeeping, and invoicing accuracy.
    • Prepare basic financial reports for firm leadership.
    • Maintain office policies, procedures, and records.
    • Coordinate office technology, supplies, and facilities.
    Qualifications
    • Office Management experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services setting.
    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university preferred.
    • Working knowledge of law firm accounting, billing, and trust accounting.
    • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, responding effectively to evolving priorities and changes.
    • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the firm, including professional staff, attorneys, and leadership.
    • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
    • Highly detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite.
