As a Caregiver at Comfort Keepers, you will be responsible for assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs) Your compassionate nature, dedication, and commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of others will be key to your success in this role.

Responsibilities:

• Personal care assistance: Provide assistance with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Mobility assistance: Assist clients with mobility needs, transfers, and repositioning to ensure safety and comfort.
• Medication Reminders: Support clients with medications reminders and ensure adherence to prescribed medication schedules.
• Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding if required, adhere to dietary restrictions and preferences.
• Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversation, activities, and hobbies to promote mental and emotional well-being.
• Light Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, sweeping, mopping, and maintaining a clean and organized environment.
• Transportation: Provide transportation services for clients, such as grocery shopping, medical appointments, and social outings.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of daily activities, observations, and any changes in condition, reporting to the appropriate supervisor.
• Communication: Regularly communicate with clients, their families, and Comfort Keepers team to provided updates on client well-being and any concerns or changes in care needs.
• Client Safety: Ensure a safe environment for clients by identifying and addressing potential hazards and reporting any incidents or accidents.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Compassionate and Caring: Demonstrates empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for providing care and support to seniors and adults in need.
• Reliable: Punctuality, dependability, and a strong work ethic are Essential.
• Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to listen attentively and effectively communicate with clients, families, and the Comfort Keepers team.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting (no more than 25lbs), bending, and assisting with transfers.
• Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays, as required.
• Driving: Clients homes in: Kingsport, Church Hill, Mt. Carmel, Johnson City, Fall Branch
• A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Candidates must have a valid driver's license and a dependable personal vehicle.
• All applicants must be able to pass a background check and complete required online training.
