Symphony of the Mountains Evening of Musical & Epicurean Delights Benefit Gala

Kingsport, TN - The Symphony of the Mountains is proud to announce our Annual Evening of Musical & Epicurean Delights Benefit Gala on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 6:00pm at The Club at Ridgefields in Kingsport, TN. This elegant evening will feature a six-course dinner with specially selected wine pairings. Previous menus have included such enticing fare as sea bass, aqua pazza, filet with blackberry demi-glace, and dark chocolate mousse infused with local organic lavender. The perfect wines are selected to highlight the flavors in each course to create a mouth-watering culinary event. In addition to the delicious dinner, there will be a live auction beginning at 7:00p.m. with Mr. Kimball Sterling serving as auctioneer for the evening. Live auction items include a Kiawah Island vacation package, Walt Disney World passes, and a private dinner at the home of our conductor, Cornelia Laemmli Orth. A silent auction will take place throughout the evening with items such as fantastic vacation packages, hand-crafted jewelry, and wines from around the world. Of course, no Symphony gala would be complete without musical entertainment by some of our talented musicians. Principal Trombonist Jimmie E. Self, Principal Trumpeter Jimmy Stokes and Principal Pianist Vicki Fey are just a few of the performers who will entertain and delight throughout the evening. We will also premiere our 2016-2017 Season line up throughout the evening. This will be the first announcement of what the new season will bring with all the stars and pageantry that only your Symphony of the Mountains can create.
