From Birmingham, Alabama, the band has a conservative eight pieces, Janeway, bassist Jesse Phillips, guitarist Browan Lollar, keyboardist Al Gamble, drummer Andrew Lee, trumpeter Allen Bransetter, Chad Fisher on trombone and Jason Mingledorff playing saxophone. The band’s 2013 debut album, Half the City, earned them national attention and gigs on the likes of CBS Sunday Morning, Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Late Show with David Letterman. Their infectiously funky live performance ability landed them two chances to open for The Rolling Stones in 2015. St. Paul & The Broken Bones’ music is so winning. It’s got heart and soul and flair, with a well-worn sound buoyed by strong, fresh songwriting.
