Description
"Atmospheric Landscapes in Miniature" by Richele Baburina Come see expansive landscapes that fit in the palm of your hand. Richele uses handcrafted watercolors from prized pigments foraged locally and around the world. These finely-milled hand-poured colors differ in texture, subtlety, and granulation from their commercial counterparts—allowing the artist to imbue a depth, luminosity, and gentle beauty to her work. Limiting the scale of the work invites intimacy for the viewer and acts as a catalyst to creativity for the artist as large vistas are captured on paper measuring as small as 1 inch square. Opening reception during downtown Kingsport’s Shop & Hop. The exhibit will remain up through the month of July.
