Our address is 120 Lancaster Road, Kingsport TN. 37663. Driving directions; From I-26, take Exit 10 (Eastern Star Road) located in-between I-81 and Gray Station on I-26. If exiting from I-26 E, make a right turn onto Eastern Star Road. If exiting from I-26 W, make a left turn onto Eastern Star Road. Travel on Eastern Star Road for approximately .7 miles, then make a right turn onto Winchester Drive. Travel on Winchester Drive for approximately .2 miles, and then make a left turn onto Lancaster Road. Continue on Lancaster Road for approximately .4 miles and the entrance to the Tri-Cities Model Airport is located on the right.

The Johnson City Radio Controllers Club would like to invite you and your family to our New Year’s Day Fun Fly. Come on out to the field New Year’s Day and enjoy a bracing (exhilarating, breath taking, and/or cold!) flying day. We are continuing our tradition of starting the year off right with great friends and fun. We’re not just a bunch of crazy pilots grabbing airtime when our wives or significant others turn their backs on us. Well, maybe we are, but it’s still fun for the whole family! Join us and make some new friends and pick up a new exciting hobby. Our field will open New Year’s Day at 8am for the first flight of the New Year, with pilots flying at the airfield until 3pm (weather permitting). If you are interested in any aspect of aviation, whether with airplanes, helicopters, or multi-copters, we will have a variety airborne throughout the day. Our club proudly offers free flight training so that everyone can enjoy our exciting hobby.
