National Goodwill Week: May 3 - 9

During the week of May 3-9, Goodwill will be celebrating our mission and showing appreciation for our patrons with a clothing sale, an employment information session about job hunting, resume building and dressing for success and a give-away for our first lucky 20 customers to each store on May 4. On Monday, May 4, the first 20 customers to check out at each of our 13 Goodwill retail location will receive a free tote bag! Green tags are 50 percent off during this week and customers can also save an extra 10 percent off their purchase of men and women's pants, sweatshirts and sweatpants at all our stores on Monday as well! On Wednesday, May 6, Goodwill is holding an employment information session. It will take place at our Green Acres Goodwill retail store, located at 1185 N. Eastman Road, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Individuals are invited to bring their resume for a quick edit session, ask questions about interviewing, learn what makes a good interview outfit, and find out how to job search efficiently. Along with a Goodwill table, Northeast Community College will be present with information about their 'Job, Ready, Willing and Able', (JRWA) initiative to connect unemployed students and community members with careers that contribute to the local economic health of the community. On Friday, May 8, shoppers are invited to the Customer Appreciation event at the Green Acres Goodwill retail store, located at 1185 N. Eastman Road! Music, snacks and a 75 percent off tent will help shoppers get ready for summer! National Goodwill Week is a great way for local communities to show their support of Goodwill and our mission of helping people with barriers to employment obtain employment services and programs.
