The Milligan Concert Choir and Orchestra present a moving performance of Stabat Mater by contemporary British composer Cecilia McDowall featuring special guests the Civic Chorale and the East Tennessee Children's Choir. This powerful work, which premiered in 2004, reflects on Mary's sorrow as she witnessed the crucifixion of Jesus. The concert will also include individual performances by the three participating choirs and the orchestra.
