Two workshops are scheduled on May 19, which have associated fees. 1. Charles Phillips will present “Creating Magical Tablescapes: How to Make Your Table a Memorable Work of Art” from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Cost: $25. Reservations are required by calling 224-1502. A special boxed lunch will be available for $10. Reservations required by calling 224-1502. 2. Make and Take Event: “Home Is Where Your Story Begins,” where basic flower arranging techniques will be introduced and creative approaches will be encouraged. Each participant will make an arrangement to take home. This session will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. and the cost is $35. First Broad Street United Methodist Church will have a Festival of Flowers in celebration of Kingsport’s Centennial. The Theme of the Festival is “Faith of Our Founders” with “Church and Community” in the Chapel and “Women of the Bible” in the Sanctuary. The Festival Schedule is as follows: --May 18, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The evening will conclude with an Evensong service at 7:00 p.m. --May 19, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. --Two workshops are scheduled on May 19. 1.
