Clint Black’s career is one of the most storied in modern music. He surged to stardom in 1989, reaching No. 1 with five consecutive singles from his triple-platinum debut, Killin’ Time. He followed that with the triple-platinum Put Yourself in My Shoes and then a string of platinum and gold albums throughout the 1990’s. Black wrote or co-wrote every one of his more than three dozen chart hits, including “A Better Man,” “Where Are You Now,” “When My Ship Comes In,” “A Good Run of Bad Luck,” “Summer’s Comin’,” “Like the Rain,” and “Nothin’ But the Taillights,” part of a catalog that produced 22 No. 1 singles. Along the way, Black has sold more than 20 million records worldwide and racked up 57 charted singles, 31 Top 10 hits and 22 No. 1 smashes. His recordings have led to honors from the Country Music Association, The Academy of Country Music, The Grammys®, and the American Music Awards, as well as membership in the cast of the Grand Ole Opry. The overall number of his awards, including a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, surpasses the number of his hit records. He has performed for a staggering number of dedicated music fans in concerts through the years.
