Child Safety Expo

Can anyone disagree that kids today are growing up in a more dangerous world? Where can parents go to learn how to keep their families safe in today’s environment? In light of the recent attempts of missing children in our area, Preaching Christ Church of downtown Kingsport has partnered with local law enforcement and other key agencies to help families become safer than ever. On Saturday, August 28th from 10:00AM-12:00PM will be the Child Safety Expo. This is a free fun and interactive day for the whole family. While parents will love learning how to talk to their kids about safety, kids will enjoy interacting with Sparky the Dalmatian, the Police K-9 Unit, face painting, and much more. Parents of young children will have the opportunity to fingerprint their kids with local law enforcement. Parents of older children will learn cell phone safety for teens and tweens. Adults will receive a free resource bag. Kids will receive a free activity bag. There will be great giveaways throughout the day. The Child Safety Expo is a free event, open to families of our community. Pre-registration is not required. Partnering agencies include Kingsport Police Department, the Sullivan County Sheriff's Department, Kingsport Fire Department, Children’s Advocacy Center, and the TBI.
