This is a S.A.F.E. (Self-defense Awareness & Familiarization Exchange) training. S.A.F.E is an initiative to prevent crimes of sexual violence against adult and teen women in the community. It will educate women about realistic options that will help them avoid, escape, and survive assaults should they occur. It is taught by Amanda Worley. Amanda Worley has worked for East Tennessee State University's Department of Public Safety since 2007. Since 2008 she has been the Community Resource Officer for the department. Amanda is the department's Crime Prevention Specialist and is in charge of all crime prevention on campus, which includes teaching various safety/prevention programs to students, staff, and faculty.
