Amp'd Up is a monthly Amputee Support Group, created to connect individuals living with limb loss or limb difference with others who understand the journey. The group is important and necessary because it offers encouragement, practical advice, and a place for amputees and their caregivers to talk openly about recovery, mobility, and adjusting to life after limb loss.
The support group is facilitated by Jodie Woosley an amputee of 4 years, and hosted at Anchor Brace and Limb (430 W Ravine Rd, Kingsport, TN), a local prosthetic and orthotic company. We meet monthly and our next meeting is Friday, April 10 at 7 pm.
Many people who experience limb loss or limb difference feel isolated during recovery. Amp’d Up was created to change that by building a local community where amputees can share experiences, learn from one another, and regain confidence in everyday life.
