What’s better than a one-day wing fling? A 10-day Wing Fling Week extravaganza!

Kingsport’s spiciest event, Wing Fling, returns September 17-26 as Wing Fling Week sponsored by Eastman Credit Union. The week-long celebration gives wing lovers the chance to visit the brick-and-mortar locations of our 2021 Wing Fling Vendors, try their “Wing Fling Week Specials” and have a chance to win great prizes.

Wing Fling, an annual event held in conjunction with Racks by the Tracks, is typically marked as a one-day ticketed event. Wing Fling Week was created to meet the needs of our vendor restaurants who continue to deal with ever-changing supply chain issues, rising food costs and restaurant staffing challenges. “We are excited to partner with Visit Kingsport and Move to Kingsport on the 2021 Wing Fling Week,” said Adam Walton, Director of Mortgage Lending at Eastman Credit Union. “We know that our restaurants have weathered an unprecedented 18-months of business and ECU is proud to give back to the communities we serve by being part of this event that supports our local restaurant industry and encourages locals and visitors alike to try something new.”

 For those who love the competition aspect of the Wing Fling, not to worry! Guests will still be able to cast their vote via the Visit Kingsport website or a scannable QR code at the table for their favorite wings to be crowned the 2021 Wing Fling Week People’s Choice Award Winner. Reigning People’s Choice champs, East Coast Wings & Grill, will be back in the lineup this year with their award-winning Long Island Iced Tea wings as well as our Overall Best Wing Winners Longhorn Steakhouse with their Buffalo Wings.

In addition to the restaurant competition, ten great prizes will be up for grabs! Starting Saturday, September 18 running through Sunday, September 26, Visit Kingsport will select a daily winner via social media to win a $25 gift card to one of the vendor restaurants. Simply share photos from your Wing Fling Week stops with #KPTWingFling for a chance to win.

The Wing Fling Week Grand Prize will be drawn from those who complete at least four of the Wing Fling Week Passport stops. A free passport will be available at the Kingsport Chamber and participating locations starting September 14. Wing Fling goers are encouraged to complete as much of the passport as possible over the week and turn in completed passports to the Kingsport Chamber by Tuesday, September 28 for the Grand Prize drawing on Wednesday, September 29. The Grand Prize will include a $150 gift card, two 2022 Wing Fling tickets, a Wing Fling t-shirt and some of our favorite Wing Fling fixins’.

Wing Fling Week, sponsored by Eastman Credit Union, will kick off Friday, September 17 and run through Sunday, September 26. Each of the following restaurants that were previously committed to the event will offer a “Wing Fling Week” special.
