DESCRIPTION:Approximately 2\,300 eighth grade students from Kingsport City\, Hawkins County\, Scott County\, Sullivan County\, and Washington County schools will be visiting the Kingsport Academic Village during the Regional Career Expo 2018.\n\n \n\nThis year\, Eastman is pleased to share a new and exciting educational opportunity open to the community. In partnership with Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL)\, the ORNL Science Fair will be available to engage students and community members of all ages in the areas of science\, technology\, engineering\, and math. The ORNL fair consists of six interactive trailers that give visitors the chance to explore materials under a neutron beam\; watch a star explode\; take a virtual walk through Titan\, the most powerful supercomputer\; and much more! The ORNL Science Fair is free and open to the community on Thursday\, March 8 from 2:00-4:00 p.m. at the Farmer's Market. \n\n \n\nThe four-day event is sponsored by Eastman\, working in partnership with Junior Achievement of Tri-Cities TN/VA\, Kingsport Chamber of Commerce\, and Northeast State Community College.
