SUMMARY:Mayor's Prayer Breakfast
DESCRIPTION:Save the date and plan to attend the Mayor's Prayer Event on Thursday\, May 5th at Glen Bruce Park at 7:30 am. The Mayor's Prayer event is designed to unite and encourage our community through fellowship and prayer. Held in conjunction with the nation's 65th observance of the National Day of Prayer\, the program will have Mayor John Clark make comments and then invite the community to pray with him for our city. \n\n "I have enjoyed the annual Kingsport Mayor's Prayer Event in the past and look forward this year to continuing the tradition of bringing the community together for the purpose of prayer for our community." Mayor Clark said. "With our centennial year upon us\, I felt it would be appropriate to gather in the heart of our downtown\, near our church circle for prayer this year. Our community intentionally built faith into our early beginnings. I appreciate that and felt it would be appropriate to pay respect to that this year."\n\nA light breakfast of coffee\, water\, bagels and fruit will be available. The program is expected to be brief. Mayor Clark encourages folks to come out and enjoy the opportunity to fellowship in Glen Bruce Park. No seating will available because of the brief nature of the program. No ticket or RSVP is required to attend this year's event.
