DESCRIPTION:On October 19 through October 22\, the legend of Bigfoot\, so prevalent in the Mountain Empire region of Tennessee\, will be celebrated. October 20\, 2017 is the 50th anniversary of the Patterson-Gimlin video footage of Bigfoot. Also known as the Tennessee Wildman or the Woodbooger\, reports of Bigfoot sightings have been happening for hundreds of years. Our celebration will take place at Bays Mountain Park in Kingsport\, TN. Activities for the 2017 Bigfoot Day Celebration include:\n\n \n\nThursday\, October 19\, 6-9PM - A Night with Papa Stro Maestro\n\nJoin legendary wrestler (NWA\, WCW\, WWE Network) and award-winning actor for an evening of stories from on the road and a Q&A you won't forget! Location is Logan's Roadhouse\, 3112 Browns Mill Rd.\, Johnson City\, TN.\n\nFriday\, October 20\, NOON start time - Bigfoot's 50th Birthday\n\nResearch talks will be given by members of the Mountain Empire Cryptid Research Organization: Bill Lancaster\, Sam DeLoach\, Charlie Lawson\, Tracy Arnold\, and Matthew Delph. Papa Stro Maestro kicks this special day off with a tribute to the Patterson-Gimlin footage\, and birthday cake for all to celebrate Bigfoot's 50th! Location: Farmstead Museum\, 3rd parking level\, Bays Mountain Park.\n\nSaturday October 21\, 10AM-6PM - Events at Bays Mountain Park\n\nA great day at Bays Mountain Park will include:\n\n- A comic con will be held at the Farmstead Museum from 10AM to 6PM. We invite attendees to come dressed as Bigfoot or your favorite cryptid. Of course\, traditional cosplay such as Batman\, Harley Quinn and Spiderman are welcome. There will be a Cosplay Contest at 4PM with prizes.
