    STREAMWORKS to host summer STEM camps for first through eighth graders
     
    KINGSPORT, Tenn. – STREAMWORKS will host a series of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) based camps during the month of June for area students in grades first through eighth.
     
    Each camp will meet for five consecutive days and will culminate with the completion of a STEM themed project. 
     
    The students will present each project to community leaders. 
     
    There will be a limit of 30 students with each camp.
     
    Camps include the following themes:
     
    LEGO Jr. Robotics Camp
    Grades 1st - 4th
    (Campers will build a City of the future and utilize engineering and computer science skills learned during camp.)
    Camp takes place Monday, June 3 to Friday, June 7 from 1 to 4 p.m. each day at STREAMWORKS.
    Cost is $150 per student.
    Public presentation Friday, June 7 at 2 p.m.
     
    Super Heroes Robotics Camp
    Grades 4th - 8th
    (Campers will design a robotic superhero mask and then produce a final project utilizing CAD and advanced machining technology.)
    Camp takes place Monday, June 3 to Friday, June 7 from 1 to 4 p.m. each day at STREAMWORKS.
    Cost is $150 per student.
    Public presentation Friday, June 7 at 3 p.m.
     
    Camp Awesome! Coding Camp for Girls
    Grades 4th - 8th
    (Yes, this is an all-girls coding camp!)
    Camp takes place Monday, June 10 to Friday, June 14 from 9 a.m. to noon each day at STREAMWORKS.
    Cost is $150 per student.
    Public presentation Friday, June 14 at 11 a.m.
     
    LEGO Sumo Robotics Camp
    Grades 4th - 8th
    (Campers design, build, and program machines utilizing LEGO EV3 system to compete on the SUMO Dojo board.)
    Camp takes place Monday, June 10 to Friday, June 14 from 1 to 4 p.m. each day at STREAMWORKS.
    Cost is $150 per student.
    Public presentation Friday, June 14 at 2 p.m.
     
    Underwater Robotics Academy
    Grades 4th- 8th
    (Campers will design and build an actual underwater robot.  As an added bonus, students will serve as an ambassador for the International Underwater Robotics Event on Thursday, June 20 and Friday, June 21.)
    Camp takes place Monday, June 17 to Friday, June 21 from 9 a.m. to noon each day at STREAMWORKS.
    Cost is $150 per student.
    Public presentation Wednesday, June 19 at 11 a.m.
     
    Robot Drone League Camp
    Grades 4th - 8th
    (Campers will learn to build robots utilizing the engineering design process and how to program drones utilizing computer programming.)
    Camp takes place Monday, June 24 to Friday, June 28 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day at STREAMWORKS.
    Cost is $225 per student.
    Public presentation Friday, June 28 at 2 p.m.
