Kingsport Farmers Market Kicks Off Evening at the Market
Come out for a brand new farmers market experience
Kingsport, TN – The Kingsport Farmers Market is partnering with Visit Kingsport and the Downtown Kingsport Association on a brand new farmers market experience: the Evening at the Market series.
On the second Thursday of each month, June through September, visit the Kingsport Farmers Market at 308 Clinchfield Street for an exciting night. Shop from the farmers market vendors you know and love, visit food vendors for some dinner, then grab a craft beer before the live bluegrass concert outside.
“We are so excited to bring this new experience to downtown Kingsport,” said Kristie Leonard, the city’s Community Services Program Administrator and market manager. “Everyone in the region is welcome to come enjoy a laidback atmosphere and visit with your neighbors.”
Evening at the Market lasts from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. The market is open for the entire evening, and the concert kicks off at 6. Carousel Park is right next door, and the Kingsport Carousel will be open for rides. Bring the family and stay a while at Evening at the Market!
For our June 13 kick-off night, come support Kingsport in the tie-breaking battle for the Best Long Island Ice Tea. After the concert, Visit Kingsport will show the live battle on the big screen as Kingsport’s local team takes on New York in National Harbor, Maryland. Come show your support for Kingsport’s Original Long Island Iced Tea!

    July 11: Hunter Patterson Band

    About the City of Kingsport
Founded in 1917, the City of Kingsport (pop. 53,000) is located on the Tennessee-Virginia border at the crossroads of I-81 and I-26 near the geographic center of the eastern U.S.  The city is widely known as a planned community, designed by renowned city planner John Nolen and wrapping around the foot of Bays Mountain – a 3,500 acre park, nature preserve, planetarium and observatory.  Kingsport is recognized as an International Safe Community by the National Safety Council, a Healthier Tennessee community, and won the 2009 Harvard Innovations in American Government Award for its higher education initiatives.  While many city names are duplicated throughout the U.S., there’s only one Kingsport – a fact that invokes community pride, known locally as the “Kingsport Spirit.”
