    Dobyns-Bennett High School Alumni Association Accepting 2018 Hall of Fame Nominations

    KINGSPORT, Tenn. – The Dobyns-Bennett High School Alumni Association Board of Directors is currently accepting nominations for the Dobyns-Bennett High School Alumni Association Hall of Fame Class of 2018.

    Nominees should be Dobyns-Bennett graduates, teachers, or administrators who had a profound effect on Dobyns-Bennett High School and have had a successful and influential life, not only in regard to Dobyns-Bennett, but with their family, community, career, and others. There are 20 nomination categories from which to choose. 
     
    Dobyns-Bennett graduates must have graduated at least thirty-five (35) years prior to their nomination.

    Nomination categories for Dobyns-Bennett graduates include: Academics, administrator/teacher, arts, athletics, business, church and ministerial, entertainment, government services/humanitarian, judicial and legal, literature, medical, military service, news and communications (media), politics, public service and science.

    2017 Inductees included the following: Judge Jerry Beck, Dr. Frank J. Buckles, Jr., LTC COL James W. Dobyns, Dr. Ruth Ketron, Charlie Leonard, Cecil Maddox, Dr. William H. McHorris, and Michael Strickland.

    The nomination form is located on the Dobyns-Bennett High School website (www.dbhs.k12k.com), Alumni, Dobyns-Bennett Alumni Hall of Fame. 
     
    Nomination deadline is Thursday, May 31, 2018.

    Completed nomination forms may be submitted in the following ways:
     
    • Mail form to the Dobyns-Bennett High School Alumni Association, P.O. Box 3337, Kingsport, TN 37664.
    • Email form to dbalumniboard@gmail.com
    The 2018 Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, October 25, 2018 at 11 a.m. located in MeadowView Marriott Conference Resort and Convention Center.
     
    The Dobyns-Bennett High School Alumni Association
    seeks to unite DBHS Alumni and keep them informed of community and school news. Alumni news and information are posted regarding membership, class reunions, football schedules, D-B highlights, the Alumni Board and a complete listing of the Hall of Fame Inductees by year with bios and headshots.
