Ribbon cutting for Hometown IGA

KINGSPORT, Tenn. – A ribbon cutting for Hometown IGA will be held Monday, March 1, 2010, at 11 a.m. at 1328 South John B. Dennis Hwy, Kingsport.

Whites Fresh Foods locations in Kingsport, Tenn. will be officially converting to Hometown IGA on Monday, March 1st. A ribbon cutting to celebrate the grand opening is scheduled with the Kingsport Chamber of Commerce on Monday, March 1st at 11 am est. time at the Kingsport location on 1328 South John B. Dennis Hwy. The other locations to convert on March 1st include the location at 3006 John B. Dennis Highway and 443 W. Sullivan St. The remaining Whites Fresh Food locations are scheduled to convert to Hometown IGA in the near future.

The Elizabethton Hometown IGA store is 100% employee owned as part of the Houchens Industries ESOP Corporation based out of Bowling Green, KY. And as owners, the employees take special pride in making “their” store the best that it can be. The Kingsport stores will have many of the same friendly and experienced associates from Whites Fresh Foods under the direction of Randall Tipton, Regional Manager.
