Regional Center for Applied Technology (RCAT)

A second part of the Educate and Grow program is the development of the Regional Center for Applied Technology (RCAT) located in downtown Kingsport. The center is operated by Northeast State Community College (NESCC). RCAT offers high-tech training to the current workforce and new students. With 80% of prospective jobs in the high-tech industry, Kingsport is preparing for the future.

Throughout the region, there are programs for traditional students, adult learners and those seeking masters or doctoral level degrees. Its array of educational opportunities was a major benefit to Tri-Cities in the recent All-America City competition.
